You have:

  • Bachelor university degree in any discipline
  • Understanding on international Child Protection and national legal framework on child rights and child protection
  • Minimum 3 years working experience in research and M&E, preferably in NGOs working with major donors’ Requirements and standards
  • Experience working in M&E for CP interventions in humanitarian/emergency settings
  • Report writing in English
  • Good knowledge of M&E, accountability mechanisms and Research
  • Ability to develop M&E framework with SMART indicators and effective tools
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Good computer skills (word, excel and other information management systems)
  • Able to communicate in English and Myanmar both speaking and written

Major Responsibilities:

Design, Monitoring & Evaluation

  • Develop project M&E Framework, Plan, Guideline, templates and tools together with the project managers in consultation with NO MEAL and Education Technical team
  • Facilitate in developing an effective community-based M&E system for project teams.
  • Work with the Project team to ensure participation and empowerment of boys and girls in the M&E process
  • Ensure each project activity/indicator is being monitored and analyze according to the monitoring plan.
  • Provide technical support to manage and maintain the information management system for case management to ensure accuracy and quality of data.
  • In consultation with the project managers, provide training for the project staff on the usage of monitoring templates and tools based the project’s donor monitoring standards.
  • Update activity completion data into WVM’s nationwide REACH/iMPAQ database system regularly
  • Develop relevant M&E databases for efficient and effective data entry, analysis and reporting.
  • Give feedback to the project managers on findings with the reasonable recommendations
  • Contribute the WVIM’s DMEAL activities such as Annual Impact Measurement (AIM) and Sustainability Self-Review Tool (SSRT) and quarterly reflection workshops.

Knowledge management and documentation

  • Work on knowledge management by disseminating the monitoring and evaluation findings, recommendations, and lessons learnt from monitoring and evaluation
  • Document and share project/programme activities, results, best practices and lessons learned
  • Support the Project team to establish child-friendly accountability mechanism
  • Compile and analyze types of information/data submitted through the feedback and complaint mechanisms
  • Promote action learning across the other sectors within the programme team through regular Sector Working Group meetings (Community of Practice)
  • Promote sector knowledge management and information sharing

Monitoring and reporting

  • Measure whether the project’s activities have been implementing according to the plan in the project proposal
  • Visit all projects and participate with the project teams in the participatory monitoring and evaluation
  • Collect the data according to the M&E plan and then analyze, and produce the report based on monitoring data
  • Timely collection and dissemination of data, information verification and feedback to project manager and project team
  • Support the Project team to develop or revise log frame with outcome and output indicators for current or future projects as needed
  • Provide 5Ws reports regularly (if required) to respective cluster

Coordination and collaboration

  • Coordinate with the team members to get the M&E data on time with quality
  • Participate in regular team meeting
  • Submit monthly, biannual and annual reports on time to the supervisor and in the require system
  • Good application of the knowledge / skills in the daily work should be observed

Ensure the acquired knowledge / skills are shared amongst other field-based staff

  • Carry out or engage task with good judgement and responsibly.

  • By actively participating with manager in producing a relevant and jointly agreed development plan

Key Experience, Knowledge and/or other Qualifications

  • Bachelor university degree in any discipline
  • Bachelor's degree in social science or computer studies
  • Understanding on international Child Protection and national legal framework on child rights and child protection
  • Minimum 3 years working experience in research and M&E, preferably in NGOs working with major donors’ Requirements and standards.
  • Experience working in M&E for CP interventions in humanitarian/emergency settings
  • Report writing in English
  • Good knowledge of M&E, accountability mechanisms and Research
