Org. Setting and Reporting Supervisor:

- The incumbent of this post reports to the Chief Area Office (CAO) in the Fields and receives technical guidance from the National Security Officer at the Field Security and Risk Management Office (FSRM).

- The incumbent of the post provides direct supervision of the guard forces services at the respective Area Office and facilities

Responsibilities- Assists the Chief of Area Office (CAO) in the development and implementation of the ad hoc Security Risk Management (SRM) process and Security Plan, and other routine security documents, such as, but not limited to, security contingency plans and evacuation plans.

- Assists in the development and implementation of established security policy, guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure security compliance by personnel, assets, and operations in the designated area of operation.

- Manages security access control procedures, systems, and equipment in UNRWA premises and installations in the designated area; conducts periodic security assessments for premises and installations to ensure provisions of an effective guard force.

- Assists in preparing, coordinating, and providing security briefings and training for all personnel in the designated area of operation; is responsible for the overall training and the day-to-day operational and technical support of the guard force.

- Advises the CAO and the National Security Officer (NSO) on the acquisition and inventory control of security related equipment.

- Responds and assists personnel affected by security incidents in the designated area of operation, ensures Security Incident Reports are completed and submitted within established timelines; informs the National Security Officer of incidents and events taking place in the Area impacting UNRWA.

- Advises the Chief of Area Office and personnel in the designated Area of their security-related responsibilities and accountabilities.

- Works closely with local authorities; maintains positive and constructive relationships with local security, police, fire and medical authorities; monitors the local security situation in the respective area of operation through local media and professional networks providing regular updates to Chief of Area Office and the National Security Officer on any emerging security issues that may affect UNRWA.

- Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, sound judgment and demonstrated problem-solving skills. - Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office package. - Good report writing skills.

- Possession of a valid driving license. - Willingness to work beyond regular working hours and respond to emergencies at any time. - The incumbent may be requested to travel.

- Fixed term Appointment for 3 years; including 1 year of probation period, with the possibility of further extension, subject to the availability of funds, satisfactory performance and continuing need. - Monthly basic salary: 678.80 USD - Grade: 12
