You have:
- University-level education in computer science, electrical/mechanical engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience in technical product management or engineering leadership, with a proven track record of shipping mobile products at scale.
- Demonstrated experience deploying and managing application lifecycles on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store; references to be provided.
- Experience working closely with engineering delivery teams following a structured development process, preferably in an Agile environment, using issue-tracking tools such as JIRA.
- Familiarity with mobile programming languages (Objective-C / Swift, Android / Kotlin) and/or scripting languages; good command of modern back-end and front-end technologies.
- Good understanding of modern services-oriented infrastructure; familiarity with micro-services concepts and Salesforce.com is a plus.
- Design experience including mock-ups and rapid prototyping for mobile-first interfaces, with a strong eye for user experience quality.
- Exceptionally clear documentation and communication skills, with the capacity to take impactful decisions on the technology roadmap and the ability to thrive in a complex, international organization.
- Fluency in English, with excellent written, digital, and verbal communication skills.

The Forum is building world-leading digital collaboration platforms, knowledge and data tools, and digital event experiences for our constituents. To support this development, we are looking for a qualified Mobile Engineering Lead to take ownership of our mobile platforms, spanning iOS and Android applications. Working alongside cross-functional teams of engineers and product managers, you will help bring digital products and features from conception to launch and beyond. This role is central to driving online engagement with Forum members and constituents, delivering on the organization’s strategic vision to provide digital products that are recognized as best in the industry.
Reporting Lines & Interactions
Part of the Forum IT Team, the Mobile Engineering Lead reports to the Head of Engineering. You’ll be working closely with product managers, back-end engineers, and platform leads across the Forum’s digital product portfolio.
The successful candidate will be assessed on
- Facilitate collaboration, communication, and decision-making between different engineering teams and stakeholders, including product managers, to ensure coherent and timely delivery.
- Act as sponsoring coach and technical lead for mobile software engineers, promoting best practices, fostering a continuous learning culture, and supporting career growth.
- Identify and evaluate new technologies and innovations for alignment with the mobile technology roadmap and business value, developing a strong point of view on what makes Forum products differentiated.
- Own technical documentation design and author application-specific technical reports and papers, ensuring clarity and consistency across the mobile platform.
- Drive end-to-end product and feature delivery across iOS, Android, and back-end services, from conception through launch and post-release iteration, in close collaboration with product managers.
- Define and maintain mobile design standards and best practices, including mock-ups and rapid prototyping for mobile-first interfaces, ensuring a consistently high-quality user experience.
