Minimum qualifications required − Active student in the last semesters of Law, Political Science and/or International Relations. − Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Power Point). − Specific knowledge of national and regional frameworks for the protection of populations of concern to UNHCR. − Experience in systematization processes, report writing and office software management. − Knowledge of written and oral Spanish, advanced knowledge of English highly desirable. − Experience in internships with international organizations highly desirable. − Excellent interpersonal relations, responsibility and discipline, organized, high degree of confidentiality, teamwork, commitment to continuous learning, formation of values, conduct and ethical principles that allow him/her to maintain impartiality and interact appropriately with national and international officials, maintaining respect for different cultures and ideologies.

To be considered for an internship, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria: − Must be an undergraduate or graduate student at a university in Guatemala. − Availability for at least 6 months starting May 2022. − A person whose father, mother, son, daughter, brother or sister is a UNHCR staff member, including a temporary appointee or a member of the affiliated workforce, is not eligible for an internship.
