You have:
- Three years' Diploma in Midwifery preferably from Government affiliated institutions and registered from Bangladesh Nursing & Midwifery Council (BNMC)
- Two years BSc. in Midwifery (Post Basic) from Government affiliated institutions will be an added value
- At least three years experience, preferably 2 years clinical experience in primary and emergency healthcare, tropical infections, and diseases in emergency settings
- Experienced working in 24/7 health facilities
- Ability to work within a tight timeframe
- Excellent interpersonal skill
- Motivation to work in the field areas
- Proficiency on computer using, MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook etc.

The Opportunity
The midwife will work to contribute to an improvement in reproductive, maternal, and neonatal health through the provision of counselling, care, support, and services for women and their families before, during, and after childbirth. In addition, s/he will perform performs basic delivery care, perform all components of BEmONC including manual removal of placenta, manual vacuum aspirations and neonatal resuscitation. She/he will be working in the SCI-operated health facilities (HP/PHCC) as per need. The incumbent, will provide direct SRH service, working closely with the clinical staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality comprehensive emergency and primary healthcare services and will be responsible for the maintenance of the stock of SRH commodities and medicine and will provide SRH support in MMT when required and capacity building of volunteers (CHW, CMHW & TBAs) on SRH activities. The midwife will also be involved in providing healthcare education and working with the MCHN promoters to ensure appropriate messages are shared with the community. She will involve herself in knowledge sharing and health education to beneficiaries among volunteers and staff during any day observation/campaign/outreach activities.
Qualifications and Experience
• Three years' Diploma in Midwifery’ preferably from Government affiliated institutions and registered from Bangladesh Nursing & Midwifery Council (BNMC) • Two years BSc. in Midwifery (Post Basic) from Government affiliated institutions will be an added value • At least three/two years’ experience, preferably 2 years’ clinical experience in primary and emergency healthcare, tropical infections, and diseases in emergency settings like- Rohingya Response • Experienced working in 24/7 health facilities and staff, including previous experience of supervising and mentoring other health staff • Working experience in emergency response • Night Duty • Ability to work within a tight timeframe • Excellent interpersonal skill • Motivation to work in the field areas • Proficiency on computer using, MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook etc.
