The UN Sri Lanka is expecting a high-level official to visit the country from 23 to 26 June 2025. The visit involves several high-level meetings and a press conference, which is anticipated to attract a lot of media attention.
An Online Volunteer 's support is needed to monitor media related to the visit, across traditional media (print, online and electronic) and social media.
The Online Volunteer will be expected to support in: - Daily media monitoring across traditional (print, online and electronic) and social media. - Daily compilation of English content on the visit and related topics. This should cover the date, news site/source, heading/topic and link to article/social media. - Compile a report at the end of two weeks, providing an analysis of the media coverage.
The summary report should include: - Breakdown by negative, positive or neutral information (number of positive articles, number of negative feedback, etc). - Breakdown by English language. - Key topics covered.
The Online Volunteer should have: - Previous experience in media monitoring. - Basic understanding of socio political nuances.
