Develop communication strategies and manage media activities
You have:
- At least 3 years' experience working in communications, journalism, PR, production
- Experience working in the international aid and cooperation sector, with INGOs, NGOs, UN, embassies, cultural centers etc. in communications positions is a plus
- Relevant university degree in Communications, Design, Art, International Relations
- Strong and documented writing skills, storytelling
- Strong and documented video production and editing, design and photography skills. Strong knowledge of working in Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator)
- Experience in social media
- Thorough knowledge and experience with photography and videography
- Excellent level in English both written and verbal
Contract
This is a Professional contract (NRC) contract. More about Professional contract (NRC) contracts.
NRC has been working in conflict-affected parts of Ukraine since 2014, providing humanitarian assistance, including specialised legal services for displaced people and communities. Following the escalation of the international conflict in Ukraine on 24 February 2022, NRC’s teams have been working to scale up the response in the country and meet the needs of displaced Ukrainians. In addition, NRC has deployed emergency teams to Poland and Moldova.

Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities • Develop communication and information products, as requested. • Identify new content collection opportunities supporting NRC Moldova Strategy and Advocacy Framework. • Alert global media adviser on developing crises, emergencies and news stories for quick reactive media work and planning. • Respond swiftly to media requests on-site and coordinate their visit (inform HO, keep track of the requests, coordinate with NRC spokespeople); • Assist the Head Office in the collection, production, dissemination and promotion of digital content in close cooperation with the Advocacy & Communication Manager. • Manage communications with relevant service providers (e.g., contracted designers, copyeditors, printers, venues, etc.). • Regular updates on the Communication Plan for Moldova • Supporting Advocacy Manager in Moldova in keeping the media talking points up to date and relevant • Introduce and train new staff and volunteers on the SOP related to working with media
