MEAL Assistant
ROLE PURPOSE:
The MEAL Assistant is responsible for supporting data collection, data quality assurance, database management, reporting, and monitoring activities, ensuring accurate, timely, and secure information is available to support evidence-based programming, accountability, and organizational learning.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Data Collection and Monitoring Support
- Conduct high-quality data collection using Kobo-based digital tools through face-to-face and phone interviews.
- Support monitoring activities, needs assessments, surveys, and other data collection exercises.
- Participate in field visits to collect, verify, and monitor program data.
Ensure timely and accurate registration of data in approved data collection systems and forms.
Data Management and Quality Assurance
Enter, maintain, and update AO databases and data management systems.
- Perform routine data cleaning, verification, and validation to ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency, and reliability of information.
- Identify and report data quality issues and support corrective actions.
Maintain organized records and documentation of monitoring and assessment data.
Data Analysis and Reporting
Support data analysis activities by summarizing quantitative and qualitative information.
- Contribute to the preparation of monitoring, assessment, and evaluation reports as requested.
Data Protection and Confidentiality
- Ensure confidentiality and secure handling of all collected data in accordance with organizational policies and data protection standards.
- Maintain secure storage, encryption, access control, and transmission of sensitive information.
- Adhere to ethical data collection and information management practices at all times.
MEAL Operations and Team Support
- Collaborate with program and MEAL staff to ensure timely availability of quality data.
- Support the MEAL team with additional tasks and priorities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Education
- College degree (at least completed school education).
Qualifications
- Fluency in written and spoken Ukrainian, Russian and, English will be an advantage
- Good level of computer proficiency and ability to use MS-Office.
- Basic report writing skills.
- Strong communication skills.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Experience (Required)
At least 1 years of experience in Monitoring and Evaluation of programs or relevant experience.
- Experience in Excel, KoboCollect, CommCare.
- Experience in data collection, data management, and analysis is highly desirable.
- Familiarity and comprehension with database designs and management.
Experience (Desirable)
- Experience working with humanitarian organizations, preferably in MEAL related roles.
- Experience supporting partners and field teams in data collection, reporting and quality assurance.
- Experience conducting focus group discussions, key informant interviews.
- Previous experience working with accountability mechanisms, including feedback and reporting channels.
