You have:

  • At least five years of progressively responsible and relevant professional work experience in innovation and/or individual giving and/or consumer marketing is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in fundraising required.
  • Experience developing, launching and managing new fundraising products in an IG environment highly desirable.
  • Proven strong project management capability with experience delivering through others required.
  • Experience in leading on Innovation/product strategies essential.
  • Experience working in subscription products highly desirable.
  • Experience of collaborative partnership relationships desirable.
  • Experience working in global organizations and projects crossing multiple markets essential.
  • Excellent relationship management and communication skills highly desirable.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in another official UN language is preferred.
  • Ability to work across multiple projects, with multiple stakeholders is desirable.

Contract

This is a P-3 contract. This kind of contract is known as Professional and Director staff. It is normally internationally recruited only. It's a staff contract. It usually requires 5 years of experience, depending on education.

Salary

The salary for this job should be between 137,877 USD and 180,539 USD.

Salary for a P-3 contract in Geneva

The international rate of 74,649 USD, with an additional 84.7% (post adjustment) at this the location, applies. Please note that depending on the location, a higher post adjustment might still result in a lower purchasing power.

The Division of Private Fundraising and Partnerships (PFP) aims to achieve results for children by maximizing UNICEF's private fundraising and advocacy around the world. To carry out this mission, PFP coordinates fundraising activities and private sector partnerships with offices in over 50 countries. Individual Giving is one of UNICEF’s most critical sources of revenue and the PFP Individual Giving team, which this role would be part of, focuses on supporting countries to grow their individual giving revenue.

The UNICEF Individual Giving area has recently launched a number of new subscription products, co-developed with some of the world’s largest global children’s brand partners. Most significantly Paddington’s Postcards developed in partnership with the iconic and globally renowned Paddington Bear (www.unicef.org.uk/paddingtons-postcards) as well as the global pre-school brand the PJ Masks (www.unicef.org.uk/pj-masks-bedtime-heroes). After seeing pivotal success in a small number of markets the PFP Individual Giving team are looking to launch the existing products and new products in multiple countries. Building on the success of this new type of product and diversifying our Individual Giving programs across the world. This role will be part of the team helping to export these products globally.

For every child, a Champion

This post supports the growth of UNICEF's programme of existing and new regular giving subscription products to multiple markets. The role will lead on programme co-ordination of markets scaling and piloting the products. Acting as a key central contact including ongoing market engagement, ensuring results are tracked and best practice is shared effectively to get the best outcomes across the programme. The role also leads on project management of product pilots in new markets and provides product and digital marketing expertise to markets running the products. The role sits within the PFP Individual Giving Team and reports to the Global Products Manager.

How can you make a difference?

Lead Development of new multi-market Fundraising Products Programme

  • Lead on developing and delivering the global fundraising products strategy including existing subscription products and new products.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in IG Marketing to ensure pipeline of new products are have good consumer insight, clarity on potential revenue, and can be scaled to multiple markets.
  • Support IG Marketing team to manage and grow existing live products.
  • Provide specialist product expertise to support strategy & pilot design for the implementing markets.
  • Manage the assigned budget ensuring value for money is sought.
  • Collaborate across IG section to ensure effective representation of the program to key stakeholders within Fundraising globally.
  • Ensure excellent Corporate partnership relationships with partners supporting the products are maintained by the team.

    Identifying Scalable New Fundraising Products, within and beyond UNICEF.

  • Identify and review new product opportunities that could be replicated in multiple markets; this will include replicating products from one UNICEF to many, as well as new opportunities from outside UNICEF.

  • Pitch new products and secure commitment to testing from local IG teams.
  • Work in partnership with Corporate teams to pitch new collaborative product ideas to Corporate Partners.

    Developing New multi-market Fundraising Products Opportunities:

  • Developing new products with IP secured through Brand or Corporate partners.

  • Manage relevant marketing and innovation agencies to ensure a strong roster of suppliers.
  • Developing the business case for piloting, securing the market level resources for significant pilots, and ensuring media plans and creative are delivered in line with plans.
  • Project management of pilots including managing timelines, leading regular progress meetings, ensuring tasks are completed on time, running kickoff and evaluation sessions
  • Ensure effective lessons learnt provisions are in place at the end of each pilot

Other Duties

  • Support IG Marketing team in other ad hoc tasks supporting the success of the programme

Deliverables:

  • Maintain a program timeline and opportunity pipeline, coordinating this with other members of the IG Marketing team.
  • Provide business cases to secure pilot resources.
  • Ensure all business cases are supported by clarity on consumer and commercial insights that are suitable for replication.
  • Product pilots delivered to timelines and budget with positive feedback from key stakeholders
  • Maintaining strong and excellent relationships with partners and participating markets.
  • Develop and implement Global Fundraising Products Strategy for 2022
  • Grow the Global Fundraising Products pipeline
