The volunteer is expected to create a data catalog for gender-climate change-nexus relevant big data that is freely available and can be relevant to the Panamanian context. This data catalog, created in Excel, shall include each dataset's full name, description, organization, URL, theme/sub-theme, country, refresh rate, type of data (Cualitative/Cuantitative/Map), administrative level (country, region, province, city), and credibility (1-5). UNDP will share potential data sources with the candidate.

    The UNDP Accelerator Lab is working with big data in the Data Powered Positive Deviance to identify positive outliers in the gender-climate change nexus. I this stage, we define the problem and the desired outcome while checking if PD would be a suitable approach.

  • Volunteers: 1 needed

  • 11-20 hours per week / 2 weeks

    The candidate should have previous experience in creating data catalogues for big data and have advanced Excel skills. He or she should furthermore be able to understand, read and write in both English and Spanish. The candidate should have previous experience in working with climate data and gender data and be knowledgeable or interested in the gender-climate change nexus. Please attach CV.
