UNFPA Iraq is seeking one dedicated Online Volunteer to support our Communication and Partnerships team in enhancing our social media presence. As an Online Volunteer, you will be crucial in amplifying our messages, engaging our audience, and creating appealing content. As an Online Volunteer working on UNFPA Iraq’s social media accounts, you will actively contribute to our three transformative results and advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

UNFPA is looking for one online volunteer who, under the guidance of the Communications and Partnerships Officer, will support the Fund by producing content for UNFPA’s social media accounts. In particular, the Online Volunteer is asked to:

Social Media Management: - Curate and create engaging content for UNFPA Iraq's social media platforms. - Implement and manage social media campaigns to promote UNFPA's initiatives. - Monitor social media trends and suggest strategies for increased visibility.

  • Creativity and Innovation: The candidate should possess a creative mindset and the ability to generate engaging, original content that aligns with UNFPA Iraq's mission and values. Should be able to think outside the box and develop unique ideas to captivate the target audience.
  • Familiarity with UNFPA's work: A strong understanding of UNFPA's mandate, programs, and initiatives in Iraq or other countries is essential for creating relevant and impactful social media content.
  • Communication skills: The candidate should have strong written communication skills, with a knack for crafting compelling messages and adapting content to suit different social media platforms.
  • Social media proficiency: The candidate should be well-versed in popular social media platforms, such as Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn. They should understand how to optimise content for each platform, capitalise on trends, and utilise analytics tools to measure performance and refine strategies.
