Background:

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and helps people to survive and rebuild their lives. Founded in 1933, the IRC offers lifesaving care and life-changing assistance to refugees forced to flee from war or disaster.

This role is a member of the Global Partnerships and Philanthropic Services (GPPS) Unit, consisting of specialists across a variety of high-value (HV) fundraising functions providing all elements of cultivation, support and stewardship to donors, partners, and supporters, comprising three pillars: Research, Partner Engagement & Corporate Affairs, and Program Services. Program Services is GPPS’ largest pillar and works at the intersection of HV fundraising and our operations and programs in the field.

As a part of this team, you will develop funding and support propositions and impact reports to strengthen the HV teams and to maximize IRC's global fundraising and partnerships efforts. By becoming immersed in IRC's programs, team members can translate that content into compelling donor-friendly language, and individual and blended proposals for financial and non-financial support for IRC’s work.

Job Overview:

Reporting to the Associate Director, Donor Propositions, the Manager, Program Content will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of fundraising tools that connect donors with IRC’s global programs, raising awareness of IRC’s work. This role will develop and maintain the GPPS Resources Hub, a tool meant to support all aspects of fundraising by signposting the team through its 500+ documents and assets. In addition to developing the Hub, the Program Content Manager will lead on the management of content within the site. The role will also maintain and promote the use of Snap, a database that allows staff to share and search for information about programmatic funding needs and priorities.

Major Responsibilities:

- Lead on development and maintenance of the GPPS Hub; add pages, tags, and new features based on usage and user feedback; coordinate with a range of teams in the IRC to proactively aggregate up-to-date content and resources - Act as content focal point for High Value teams - Monitor Snap and GPPS Hub usage; supervise and report on internal usage metrics (logins, etc.) to a defined set of key partners, and if needed, recommend ways to increase uptake/usage - Develop and coordinate GPPS Hub and Snap trainings; craft orientation materials and provide 1:1 support for colleagues who are unsure of how to use the tools - Via Snap, lead receipt and coordination of program funding needs via colleagues working across IRC programs - Work with external consultants and IT to make updates and structural changes to Snap and changes to the Funding Priorities Framework; communicate updates to relevant team members - As appropriate, coordinate and lead regular meetings with External Relations, High Value and Program colleagues to report out on the performance of funding priorities and solicit feedback - Monitor performance of Snap and the Hub, and, on rare occasions, flag to the appropriate IRC IT teams when there are bugs relating to the key integrations

Internal: CRRD, RAI, USA Philanthropy, Institutional Philanthropy and Partnerships, Global Partnerships and Philanthropy Services (particularly PECA and the Associate Director, Partner Engagement and Corporate Affairs); communication with colleagues across the IRC as needed

Job Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree minimum, advanced degree is a plus

Work Experience: 2-3 years of information management experience in a private sector fundraising environment

Skills and Proficiencies:

- Understanding of high-value fundraising and high-value-specific content (corporations, foundations, and wealthy individual donors) - Detail orientated, effective interpersonal and time-management skills - Ability to adapt quickly, plan for, prioritize and lead multiple projects while working in a fast-paced environment - Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to devise creative solutions to problems and issues - Ability to receive guidance and subsequently work independently to implement key initiatives - Excellent interpersonal skills: the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively and respectfully with colleagues across a variety of levels and teams, vendors, and consultants - Good judgment in maintaining confidentiality of donor information - Digital literacy: ability to work effectively and accurately with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) - Basic technical knowledge of HTML and web publishing as well as video and photo editing software - Must be enthusiastic, creative, and collaborative - Must have a passion for the IRC’s mission and dedication to fundraising, constituent stewardship and cultivation

Language Skills: Excellent spoken and written English is essential. Proficiency in either French, Spanish or Arabic is a plus.

Working Environment: Standard Working Environment. Remote Working may be required.
