The Manager, Data and Results, Direct Mail plays a critical role in ensuring the program meets its revenue targets: It ensures the integrity of data and data pulls by managing a quality-control process in partnership with our Marketing Technology and gift processing teams.

Major Responsibilities:

• Ensure all data files for mailings are pulled correctly. Checks that all suppressions have been removed.

• Check that all donor segments have the correct ask strings and packages.

• Check that all source codes in all mailings have been applied correctly.

• Ensure accurate data pulls for each segment. QC mailing file data in the CRM.

• Create white mail, acquisition, and reinstatement source codes by lists.

• Check segment counts across mailings, looking for problems and trends in our donor counts.

• Compare mailings year over year to ensure they are ahead of the prior year and/or on track with budgets.

• Keep track of all testing results.

• Create results slides and quarterly reports.

• Assist with our gift processing team to project quarterly and monthly daily counts.

• Keep track and ensure weekly and monthly list pulls are completed and on time.

• Check coding on all gifts to see if they’re correct in the database.

• Check daily deposit counts against gift processing files and report on revenues received weekly for each campaign.

• Communicate with direct mail colleagues and audience leads on scheduling.

• Communicate with gift processing colleagues on upcoming mailing forms to ensure accurate data entry.

• Check testing splits on segments for accuracy.

• Check priority segments in mail files.

• Adjust and apply ask strings as needed for all upgrade asks and testing.

• Ensure all package groups are set up correctly.

• Pull any ad-hoc database reports for year-over-year comparisons.

• Supply prospect suppression list for all acquisition mailings.

• Check all automations and integrations with database i.e. vanity URL forms.

• Respond to ad hoc requests made by the Director and Direct Mail staff.

General Management:

• Work closely with Direct Mail team, audience leads, and consultants.

• Work with other internal staff on results, reporting/analytics, and technology.

• Other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 3-4 years relevant experience and direct marketing experience is preferable

• Experience working in direct mail.

Demonstrated Skills & Competencies:

• Knowledge of direct mail segmentation and list pulls.

• Ability to read results and do comparisons to budgets and targets.

• Shown organizational and time management skills: the ability to work accurately and productively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities;

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Working Environment:

This role may require working remotely full- or part-time (i.e., telecommuting). Applicants must have a home or alternate workspace they can effectively complete their work from during regularly scheduled hours.

Compensation:

Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
