  1. OPPORTUNITY

The M&E Assistant will support the M&E coordinator as well as the project team in all data collection, analysis, and learning activities to help ensure accountability and efficiency from start to finish for all activities of the project. S/he will provide technical field support to the RFS and DSCO’s, within the lifespan of project implementation. The M&E Assistant will work closely with M&E coordinator to support capacity-building initiatives, and facilitate the collection of quality data under the supervision of the Deputy Chief of Party. S/he may be assigned to focus on supporting grants or projects within a program as assigned by the M&E coordinator. S/he will collaborate with the project team in preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly and final narrative and financial donors’ reports. Additionally, s/he will replace or work with other members of the team, as need be, on grants writing and set up, follow up of program expenses and indicators, implementation of processes, standard operating procedures and any other tasks given to her/him by the M&E coordinator or the Chief of Party). The Key Expected Deliverables, Support to monitoring and reporting of programme results; Support in Knowledge Management and capacity building;and Support to programme development, planning and execution.

  1. ABOUT YOU

    The M&E Assistant must have a university degree in statistics; experience as an epidemiologist or in public health would be an advantage. A minimum of 3 years professional experience in a similar or related field and professional experience in a similar role and experience of working with bilateral organisations. Fluency in French and English, communication and writing skills would also behighly advantageous for this position.
