You have:
- 2 years’ experience from working as a Logistics Officer in a humanitarian/recovery context
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Logistician with a local NGO, international NGO or the private sector
- Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
- Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
- Working knowledge of English both written and spoken
- A degree or a diploma in a Logistics related subject
- Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Word and Excel
- Knowledge of Rakhine is required

Responsibilities
- Role and responsibilities
The following is a brief description of the role. The purpose the position is day to day support and guidance to area/field offices on technical issues, provision of trainings and information sharing, monitoring of implementation of minimum standards in NRC Rakhine area offices.
Generic responsibilities
These responsibilities shall be the same for all positions with the same title. The responsibilities shall be short and essential. Details belong in the Work and Development plan.
- Implement and train staff in NRC’s logistics policies and procedures at Area office level Sittwe and also if required at sub office level Maungdaw
- Ensure compliance with NRC’s Logistics Handbook, other NRC policies and donor requirements in all procedures and processes
- Provide anti-corruption, transparency and cost efficiency focus in all processes (e.g. in procurement, vehicle management, asset management)
- Supervision and development of logistics team at Sittwe Area office level
- Ensure safe and efficient transport of staff and materials/goods
- Prepare, check, share plans, records, reports as required (e.g. status reports etc)
- Implement a filing system/archive according to procedures
- Fleet management and monthly carpool report preparation for Sittwe Area office [possibility to delegate this to Logs Assistant].
Specific responsibilities
These responsibilities shall be adapted to the particularities of the job location and context, phase of operation, strategic focus and type of programme intervention. This section shall be revised whenever a new employee is hired or the context changes significantly.
- Procurement Focal for the Rakhine Area Office.
- Respond fully to spot checks on transactions and have a particular responsibility towards maintaining transparency and accountability within logistics and procurement.
- Prepare Purchase Requisitions (PR), Quotations, Bid Analysis, Purchase Orders, Goods Received Notes, with support of the Logs Assistant
- Ensure that all procurement processes are in compliance with Logistics Handbook, other NRC policies and door requirements
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure prompt and accurate delivery of goods, services and equipment
- Supervise NRC vehicle fleet and transport activities, with delegation to Logs Assistant on daily fleet management while ensuring effective coordination with program staff and strengthening systems.
- Oversee warehouse management to ensure proper routines established and followed
- Ensure Carpool Reports [also known as Monthly Fleet Reports] are submitted to line manager including for sub office Maungdaw
- Receive supplies and ensure they are in good condition and accompanied by correct documentation
- Ensure Overall management of drivers, fleet management of NRC vehicles including oversight of rental vehicles, with delegation to Logs Assistant where relevant
- Filing of all vehicle records and reports, overtime (OT), assisted by the Logs Assistant
- Coordinate and facilitate timely reporting of eventualities like accidents and breakdowns
- Ensure that all NRC vehicles are in proper operating condition and coordinate vehicle maintenance in collaboration with Logs Assistant
- Manage and update the Logistic related register monthly
- Prepare reports requested by line manager or Logistics from CO
- Any other tasks assigned by Line Manager.
