Background
The purpose of the Logistic Manager is to be responsible that the logistic set up is according to NRC standard and to support programme/project implementation.

What you will do:
Roles and responsibilities
Generic responsibilities
- Ensure that country set up comply with NRC Logistical Guidelines, NRC policies and donor requirements
- Implement NRC’s logistics systems and procedures and develop in country logistics policy documentation in line with NRC Global procedure
- Take structural approach to increase efficiency in logistics unit
- Maintain up-to-date and data efficient Procurement Tracker with reliable information for cross-unit and internal control use;
- Provide guidance and support to Partnerships to increase their capacities in logistics and procurement
- Accurate assets and inventory lists reconciled with financial records/physical inventory
- Establish filing systems/archives according to NRC standards
- Initiate and maintain necessary leases, licenses and contracts with relevant authorities and suppliers
- Contribute to program and project design, including budget development and preparation. Follow up and manage allocated budget lines.
- Oversight and coordination of market analysis by logistics staff to support project modality decisions with analysis of the functionality and accessibility of local markets.
Specific responsibilities
- Ensure the timely delivery of logistics support services to all NRC Poland projects
- Support on and develop relevant logistics training including coaching of logistics staff
- Ensure close and regular communication, coordination and planning with all logistics and program managers
- Work closely with HoS on annual Logistics Strategy development and action plan implementation.
- Establish good relationship with suppliers in the market and initiate having a relatable supplier database that supports the Co and programme operations
- Provide audit and control checks within the country to ensure compliance to the logistics handbook
- Setup key performance indicators for all aspects of logistics activities and provide regular review, analysis and reporting against performance
What you will bring:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience from working as a senior Logistics Manager in a humanitarian/recovery context
- Experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
- Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
- Experience of data collection, analysis and report writing
- Knowledge of market analysis tools and approaches
- Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile
- Fluency in English both written and verbal
Required skills, knowledge and experience:
- Knowledge of Logistics Management, particularly in Poland is an advantage
- Applicants who are able to speak and write in Polish will have an added advantage
What we offer:
- Type of contract and Duration : 12 months fixed, National Contract
- Salary/benefits: According to NRC salary scale grade 9 national contract for Poland, terms and conditions.
