INTERNSHIP PURPOSE

Provide support with administrative tasks to produce organized and accurate work.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

1. Collect, sort, and disseminate correspondence, reports and other materials. 2. Support the maintenance of office files, documents, and records in accordance with established systems and processes. 3. Assist in creating simple images or information using standardized templates, such as graphs or tables to support the drafting of reports. 4. Respond to simple routine queries with support from senior staff, and escalate where appropriate, in order to provide a timely and accurate response to enquiries. 5. Other related duties are required.

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate/graduate programme in logistics, procurement, business administration, finance, accounting or other relevant majors, from a recognized university, have completed at least two years of the programme and attended classes in the past 12 months; OR
  • Recently graduated from an undergraduate/graduate programme in logistics, procurement, business administration, finance, accounting or other relevant majors (within six months prior to the application to the internship programme) from a recognized university and have attended classes in the last 12 months of enrolment in the university; OR
  • Currently enrolled in a graduate programme (e.g. Master's degree) in logistics, procurement, business administration, finance, accounting or other relevant fields at a recognized university and have attended classes in the past 12 months;

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Ability to use standard office equipment such as photocopiers and • scanners. • Ability to follow standard business support processes and procedures. • Knowledge of standard office software packages, e.g. Microsoft Word and Excel. • Ability to provide information using courtesy and tact. • Good attention to details

Languages:

• Fluency in written and oral English and Russian. Fluency in Tajik is an advantage.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

- Interns will receive a monthly stipend as a contribution towards basic subsidence costs the amount of which varies from duty station to another; - WFP is not responsible for living expenses, arrangements for accommodation, necessary visas and related costs; - Depending on the duty station of assignment, WFP will reimburse travel ticket for candidates who are nationals of developing countries and are pursuing their studies in their home country; - WFP will recognize candidates’ educational credentials from recognised institutions that have been certified by competent international or national authorities such as the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) or Ministries of Education.
