JOB PURPOSE

To support and implement well-defined standard logistics/supply chain processes and activities to enable the effective delivery of goods and services for all delivery modalities.

To assist in tracking WFP commodities at every stage of the supply chain (from procurement to delivery) and reports on key performance indicators (KPI).

To collect, analyse and report on information to maximise efficiency of the logistics operations and activities through WFPs Corporate Data Analytical tool and WFP's Enterprise Resource Planning tool called Logistics Execution Support System (LESS).

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

1. Provide support to logistics operations and activities, following standard processes and facilitating, directly or indirectly, the effective delivery of food assistance to beneficiaries. 2. Support timely ordering and delivery of commodities and supplies to authorised partners and destinations. 3. Support management of logistics vendors’ performance monitoring and measurement. 4. Respond to a variety of technical queries/requests for support, following standard processes, and obtaining guidance as required, to ensure timely and accurate resolution of all enquiries with a high standard of client service mind-set. 5. Assist in monitoring inventory management processes to track trends and account for the inventory status from source to beneficiary. 6. Assist in management of commodity accounting data quality and integrity. 7. Support operational pipeline analyses, assessments and operational planning for food delivery. 8. Process documentation for execution of logistics operations (e.g. customs clearance, invoice verification), take appropriate actions to resolve operational issues escalating various issues to the supervisor. 9. Collect and compile data, produce and/or contribute to reports (physical inventory, transport performance) and ensure information accuracy in corporate systems in support to informed decision-making. 10. Liaise with internal and limited number of external stakeholders to support efficient logistics operations management. 11. Provide guidance to other support staff, in order to assist them in completing standard tasks to agreed standards and deadlines. 12. Provide technical support on LESS related issues. 13. Assist in quarterly and annual reconciliations between LESS and COMET. 14. Monitor data quality and take corrective actions to rectify wrongly captured data and capturing backlog without delays. 15. Ensure and follow up on timely capturing of Cooperating Partner receipts. 16. Assist in monthly physical inventory checks and reconciliation of Physical Inventory count stock and LESS/system stock before the closure deadline. 17. Facilitate in creation of Storage locations/Loading/unloading points and adding new stores in LESS. 18. Deliver on data analysis and reporting on stock movements and follow-up in case of misalignments. 19. Assist in compiling reports on major Supply Chain KPIs. 20. Documentation of Commodity Accounting unit. 21. Any other tasks related to commodity accounting as required.

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Education: Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in the related functional area (Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Information technology, Economics, Engineering) is desirable Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis and reporting, where 2 years of experience in supply chain data reporting, inventory management etc. Knowledge and Skills:

Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills

Efficiency and Time-Management

Good communication skills

Data anlytics skills

Knowledge of SAP/LESS and other databases

Excellent knowledge of spreadsheets/charts/forms/table.

Language: Proficiency in writing and verbal communication in English is requisite

This job will be based in Country Office, Islamabad. Job holder will report to Logistics Officer, Head of Unit or the designate. At this level, job holders demonstrate responsibility and initiative to respond independently to queries with only general guidance for all assistance modalities for both WFP and logistics common services. There is a requirement to use judgment in dealing with unforeseen problems on a daily basis.
