You have:

- 02 years of working experience as a Logistics or Procurement Assistant in a humanitarian/recovery context
- Good level of English and Bangla, written and spoken, mandatory
- Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and Outlook
- Knowledge of local markets, vendors, and logistics capacities (warehousing, road access, etc.) preferred

Our Ideal Candidate
The purpose of the Logistics Assistant position is the day-to-day implementation of logistics functions in NRC area Office, in an effective and accountable manner. NRC intends to hire multiple Logistics Assistants covering either procurement, fleet, warehousing & asset management, or facilities & maintenance.
Key Specific responsibilities:
- Assisting the Logistics Coordinator and fleet focal point to organize the NRC fleet duty and schedule for the owned and rented cars for Cox’s Bazar, including tracking of vehicle movements, preparing monthly reports on fuel consumption, driver’s overtime uses of vehicle, Vehicle maintenance and other assigned fleet related tasks by line manager.
- Assisting the Logistics Coordinator in verifying and reviewing the Stock management and ensuring that the paperwork is accurately completed and filed, and monthly stock reports are produced and shared.
- Receive the items from the suppliers and regularly check if the following documents are in place (Goods Receiving Note (GRN), Stock Cards, Stock Request Form, Waybills etc) and report to the line manager if there is any inconsistency.
- Manage the transportation of goods & supplies to and from program locations, as requested and ensuring that trucks are loaded and dispatched in a timely manner with accurate waybills, GRN, and donation certificates.
- Assisting in the regular physical check of all stocks, assets and inventory items. Liaising with the line manager to properly handle and pre-identify any stock that could expire, avoid deadstock and report on lost & damaged supplies.
- Maintain all procurement tools in accordance with NRC Logistic Guidelines at all-times including Contract Tracker, Procurement Tracking Sheet & Vendor Database
- Assist in ensuring that procurements are completed in compliance with NRCs & Donor’s Policies and procedure.
- Developing good working relations with suppliers and ensuring NRC gets value for money in all transactions.
- Ensuring that suppliers deliver on their commitments and payments are made in a timely manner.
- Support in preparation of contracts for works, services and leases
- Ensuring physical filing of all procurement documents, updating and are easily accessible.
- Perform other duties, as assigned by Line Manager
- Regular inspection of all NRC filed facilities and guesthouses, liaising with program, landlord or procurement department to facilitate maintenance work, and equipment maintenance and ensuring that it is completed in a timely manner.
- Complete repairs directly where possible including of plumbing, electrics, damaged furniture etc.
Context/ Specific skills, knowledge and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration
- 02 years of working experience of as a Logistics or Procurement Assistant in a humanitarian/recovery context
- Previous experience of working in complex and volatile contexts.
- Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and Outlook
- Good level of English and Bangla, written and spoken, mandatory
- Knowledge of local markets, vendors, and logistics capacities (warehousing, road access, etc.) preferred.
