Purpose of the Job:
The purpose of the Logistics Assistant Position is to assist in the day-to-day implementation of the support functions responsibilities. under supervision of the Logistics Officer and will be responsible for NRC Khost on time procurements, asset management, provision of transportation for incoming or outgoing Travel and stocking assets and inventories in the warehouse.

Responsibilities:
Generic responsibilities:
- Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines
- Assist with the implementation of the support function portfolio according to plan of action.
- Prepare and develop status reports as required by management.
- Ensure proper filing of documents.
- Promote and share ideas for improvement of the support function.
- Manage the day-to-day logistics activities at Khost office and provide line management support to direct reports.
- Ensure that procurement activities in Khost office are carried out according to SOPs, supplier database is updated, procurement tracking sheets are shared, and files/records are well maintained.
- Be responsible for all logistics activities at Khost office and ensure that all activities are carried out following Logistics SOPs & Handbook.
- Development of holistic and needs based programs, including cash-based interventions and market-based programs.
Specific responsibilities:
- Responsible for all logistics activities including basic procurements, stocks & warehouse, fleet, assets for NRC Khost office.
- Ensure that NRC’s standard logistics rules & procedures are applied and adhered.
- Facilitate travel arrangements for office staffs.
- Arrange logistical support for internal and external trainings that are organized by NRC in Khost.
- Responsible for issuing fuel to NRC vehicles and generators and maintain proper records of fuel.
- Ensure that NRC vehicles & generators are well serviced, maintained and logbooks are filled correctly.
- Preparation and submission of monthly logistics reports to Logistics Officer and seek his guidance & support on matters related to logistics.
- Ensure that all equipment’s are kept safely and well maintained.
- When required, is able to travel to other provinces/parts of Afghanistan.
- Assist in promoting NRC core values and creating awareness about procurement policies and procedures.
- Ensure the inclusion of cash-based interventions and marked based programs in country and area-based strategies and their implementation across and within NRC’s core competencies.
- Provide an enabling environment for the implementation of cash-based interventions, including multi-purpose cash assistance, emergency cash responses.
Qualifications

Context related skills, knowledge and experience:
