Overview

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least three (3) years of progressive experience in the provision of logistics support is required.
  • Experience with international organizations is an advantage.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic required.

Result of Service

Attendance of the Individual Contractor to the needs of the office in terms of being present on days when the office needs his/her services. Efficient, timely, and safe maintenance, servicing, and repair of LOC assets and equipment resulting in reliable and operational assets and equipment. Rules, regulations, and safety procedures are adhered to.

Duties and Responsibilities

This position is located in the United Nations Truce Supervision Organization (UNTSO), duty station Cairo, Egypt. Incumbent will be under the direct supervision and overall guidance of the Administrative Officer or the designate, on all assigned tasks. Principal functions: • Ensure that LOC assets and equipment are serviced, repaired, and maintained according to UN service schedules. Update databases and systems in accordance with UN standards. • Assist the office with fuel management requirements. • Assist the LOC AO with identifying and obtaining goods and supplies as required. • Assist with inventory management, equipment movements, and warehouse maintenance. • Report stock shortages and spare parts requirements a minimum of one month before the stock is expected to be depleted. • Perform other duties as required by the office. All listed functions are on an as-and-when-required basis upon the request of the LOC AO or the designate.

Qualifications/special skills

High school diploma or equivalent is required. At least three (3) years of progressive experience in the provision of logistics support is required Experience with international organizations is an advantage. Valid driver's license
