This is a UNV National Expert contract. This kind of contract is known as National UN Volunteer. It is normally only for nationals. More about UNV National Expert contracts.

  • Prepare procurement plan and negotiate with national partners on the specification of required supplies;
  • Organize customs clearance and receipt of cargos from international vendors;
  • Ensures an efficient negotiation process with the suppliers with the best terms possible.
  • Organize shipment and receipt of cargos from national vendors;
  • In collaboration with the national partners to prepare and implement an in-country distribution plan;
  • Prepare donation report, according to distribution plan;
  • Maintain contact with national partners (MoH, RARs), freight forwarders (SGL, KN, Pharmalink), and international organizations (UNICEF, UNHCR, and others)

The UN Volunteer will be responsible for arranging his/her own housing and other living essentials.

UN Volunteer entitlements and allowances: The purpose of the allowances and entitlements paid to UN Volunteers is to enable UN Volunteers to sustain a secure standard of living at the duty stations in line with United Nations standards without incurring personal costs. The allowances are in no way to be understood as compensation, reward, or salary in exchange for the UN Volunteer’s service.
