Overview
Provide technical and operational support in logistics functions.
You have:
- 2-4 years' professional experience, preferably in commercial or humanitarian logistics.
- University degree or equivalent experience.
- Good command (spoken and written) of English and local languages.
- Computer literacy; good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of enterprise resource planning software is an asset.
- Openness to learning and improving existing procedures based on need.

Purpose
Logistician 1 provides technical and operational support in the areas of purchasing, warehousing, stock management, import-export activities and statistics, in accordance with the ICRC’s logistics standards and local legislation.
Accountabilities & Functional responsibilities
- Supply-chain management and planning (manages and follows up on requests, provides customer desk service, and carries out related reporting).
- Participation in purchase planning (purchase orders, request orders, supplier files, etc.).
- Implementation and follow-up for financial and administrative procedures.
- Support fleet management, transport, and distribution activities.
- Supports the Air operations in coordination with the Logistic site manager.
- Import-export activities where necessary and the supply pipeline with the sub-delegation, delegation.
- Trains ICRC staff in logistics procedures
- Warehouse Management:
- Receives and checks incoming goods against the delivery note and reports any issues.
- Ensures that goods are properly stored, picked, packed, and loaded and reports any issues.
- Ensures that all the stored goods are properly labelled (expiry date, batch numbers, l manufactures, etc) and recorded.
