UNDP has recently been requested by the Global Fund to support the HIV grant, starting July 2021 until December 2023 as Principal recipient. With extension period till 30 June 2024, It will contribute to the achievement of the overall, strategic goals of the Pakistan AIDS Strategy IV - PAS-IV on addressing low prevention and testing coverage among key populations by: Scaling up community-based interventions, improving treatment access for all, and by challenging stigma and discrimination through training for health care workers and others, and to strengthen the national M&E system for improved cascade monitoring. To reach these goals, UNDP Pakistan aims to support the relevant implementing partners in:  increasing coverage of the prevention services for MSM by 39% (of Population Size Estimates - PSE) by 2023 from the 2019 baseline;  increasing coverage of the prevention services for FSW (of PSE) by 44% by 2023 from the 2019 baseline;  increasing coverage of the prevention services for TG (of PSE) by 56% by 2023 from the 2019 baseline; and  increasing coverage of the treatment services for PLHIV by 35% (of the estimated PLHIV) by 2023 from the 2019 baseline

UNDP intends to hire the services of UNV in supply management/logistics in province of Punjab based at CMU warehouse Islamabad who will be responsible for providing technical support to the UNDP in the implementation of the Global Fund HIV grant in Pakistan. The UNV (Logistician) will work closely with the CMU warehouse team , Project Management team (PMU) and other stakeholders to ensure that the supply management/Logistics aspects of the grant are managed effectively and efficiently at respective province. The UNV (Logistician) will be responsible for working closely with the project team and other UNDP units to comply the existing SOPs, guidelines and ensure the supply management/logistic aspects of the grant are managed effectively and efficiently. The UNV (Logistician) will also be responsible for providing technical support to implementing partners in the management of their supply management/logistic activities, and for technically assisting in the management of PSM Risks and issues related. Moreover, the UNV (Logistician) should assist and maintain accurate records of all PSM and inventory management of Health products at CMU warehouse and shall undertake visits as per plan for spot checks of supply chain records and verification of stocks to ensure accuracy and compliance with UNDP policies and procedures and provide technical advice and support. 1. To assist the CMU Warehouse team and PMU-PSM team in the implementation of operational and supply management/logistics operation(s) at CMU warehouse and provincial store, CBOs/health facilities and compliance of UNDP, GF, CO rules and regulations. 2. To assist the PMU-PSM team in conducting the spot checks for Sub-Recipient (SR) and to review inventory controls, records and monthly/quarterly report(s) 3. To provide assistance to the PMU-PSM team in the issuance of management letters detailing the findings and recommendations. 4. To provide the technical assistance to the community-based organizations (CBOs) Punjab for preparation of Informed Push approach requisition, timely submission to the PMU-PSM/Logistic Specialist and assured assistance in good storage practice at CBOs. 5. To ensure and assist the CMU warehouse team in the health products storage management stock count , stock reconciliation, updating documents/logistics reporting tools at CMU warehouse Islamabad. 6. To assist the PMU-PSM team in shipment inspection , receiving, and compilation of logistic data. 7. To provide the assistance to the PMU PSM unit and CMU warehouse team in the supply of health and non-health commodities to the facilities /beneficiaries as per approved distribution plan in flood affected areas. 8. To ensure updating the PR health Products logistic data in national electronic LMIS and provide assistance to the warehouse team and CBOs logistic staff on eLMIS. 9. To assist CMU in managing and supporting expired health products disposal 10. To assist in audit, field visit, technical assistance conducted by PMU. UNV is expected to adhere to WHO good practices guideline, GF QA Policy, national rules, PMU/PSM SOPs, template and tools, all these mentioned standards will be shared with the IC before signing the contract.

As this is a national UNV assignment, the UN Volunteer will be responsible for arranging his/her own housing and other living essentials.
