Assist in implementing effective security measures.

You have:

  • High school diploma or technical training is required.
  • At least 10 years of experience in security within a public or private administration or international organization is required.
  • Intermediate knowledge of English is required.
  • Expert knowledge of French is required.
  • 5 years of experience in national security services (Army, Police or Gendarmerie) is desirable.
  • Formal training in public security is desirable.

Contract

This is a G-7 contract. This kind of contract is known as General Service and related categories. It is normally only for nationals. It usually requires 7 years of experience, depending on education. More about G-7 contracts.

OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME

Conception et mise en œuvre d'un plan de securite coherent et efficace, conformement a la politique et aux directives de Gestion de la Securite du Systeme des Nations Unies, en vue d'assurer la securite et la surete des personnels, de leurs dependants et des biens de l'Organisation Mondiale de la sante.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

le titulaire devra accomplir les taches suivantes:Conseiller et assister regulierement le personnel dans tous les domaines relatifs a la securite y compris en ce qui concerne la securite incendies au sein des bureaux;Veiller a la mise a jour du Plan de Securite et des SOPs. Assurer la supervision technique des gardiens de la SOMAC et veiller au bon fonctionnement du dispositif de protection du Bureau regional.Etablir et mettre a jour de facon systematique la liste des chefs d'ilots et de leurs codes-radios ainsi que l'arbre telephonique des membres du personnel AFRO et des agents charges de la securite au niveau du systeme des Nations Unies deBrazzaville;Tenir regulierement des reunions d'information avec les chefs d'ilots et les member du personnel de l'equipe chargee de l'evacuation des bureaux;Veiller a la mise a jour des ilots et au bon fonctionnement du systeme d'ilotage en liaison avec l'equipe de l'UNDSS;Inspecter regulierement les installations de securite incendie et en faire un rapport ecrit avec constats et recommandations au RFSO/AFRO avec copies a GMC;Etablir et maintenir des contacts reguliers avec les services de securites du systemedes Nations Unies et des autorites chargees de la securite au Congo eventuellement;Preparer les rapports mensuels et les proces-verbaux des reunions sur la securite;Informer RFSO/AFRO de tous les incidents de securite au sein de la cite de l'OMS au Djoue, dans la ville et signaler les risques potentiels de securite;S'assurer du bon fonctionnement de tous les equipements de communication de securite, etablir, maintenir et assurer les appels radios avec l'Officier de Securite;Accomplir toute autre tache demandee par ses superviseurs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Essential: Diplome de fin d'Etudes secondaires ou technique. Desirable: Formation en securite publique.

Experience

Essential: Au moins 10 ans d`experience dans le domaine de la securite dans une Administration publique ou privee ou dans une organisation internationale. Desirable: 5ans d'experience dans les services de securite nationale (Armee, Police ou Gendarmerie).

Skills

  1. Avoir un bon niveau de formation militaire ou policiere ;2. Avoir un excellent esprit d'analyse et de travail d'equipe ;3. Une bonne connaissance des operations du systeme de securite des Nations Unies sur le terrain ;4. Une bonne connaissance du systeme informatique et de radiocommunication

REMUNERATION

WHO offers staff in the General Services category an attractive remuneration package, which for the above position includes an annual net base salary starting at XAF 14,437,000 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable) and 30 days of annual leave.
