Overview

Support partnership initiatives and program activities in Luanda.

You have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Limited experience in drafting communication, preparation and management of meetings, preparing presentations, compiling data are required.
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese, i.e. oral and written proficiency, is required.
  • Experience with the United Nations system or another international organization is desirable.
  • Knowledge of another United Nations official language is an advantage.

Result of Service

A. Support the identification, outreach, and follow-up with existing and potential partners B. Assist in organizing meetings, workshops, events, and partnership-related activities, including logistical arrangements C. Maintain regular communication with partners and support coordination to ensure timely implementation of joint activities D. Prepare and update partnership mapping, contact lists, and databases E. Assist in drafting correspondence, concept notes, briefs, presentations, and meeting minutes F. Support program planning and implementation by coordinating schedules, resources, and timelines G. Track activities, deliverables, and deadlines related to partnerships and programs H. Assist in collecting, organizing, and compiling data for monitoring, reporting, and knowledge management purposes I. Ensure proper filing and documentation of partnership agreements, reports, and program materials

Duties and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the programme coordinator, the Partnerships and Programming Assistant will support the planning, coordination, and implementation of projects and program activities, working closely with team in Luanda and External stakeholders to ensure effective delivery and alignment with organizational objectives. The Assistant will contribute to the smooth operation of partnership initiatives and programs by providing administrative, logistical, and coordination support, while ensuring accurate documentation and timely communication. The Individual Contractor will contribute to the smooth operation and partnership initiatives and programs through the following responsibilities: • Assist in coordinating activities with partners and maintaining regular communication with government, donors and other stakeholders. • Support the planning and implementation of programs, events, and collaborative initiatives • Provide administrative and logistical support, including scheduling, documentation, and follow-up • Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and program-related materials • Maintain organized records and databases related to partnerships and programming activities • Support internal coordination across teams to ensure timely and effective program delivery

Qualifications/special skills

High school diploma or equivalent is required. Limited experience in drafting communication, preparation and management of meetings, preparing presentations, compiling data are required. Experience as with the United Nations system or another international organization is desirable.

Languages

English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. Fluency in English and Portuguese, i.e. oral and written proficiency, is required. Knowledge of another United Nations official language is an advantage.
