Overview

Manage and coordinate agri-business livelihoods projects in Iraq

You have:

  • Experience in line management of field staff in agri-business contexts.
  • Strong understanding of livelihoods policies, guidance and implementation.
  • Experience in managing project budgets and financial reporting.
  • Proven skills in stakeholder engagement and collaboration with local authorities.

Contract

Generic responsibilities

  1. Line management of ITC agri-business livelihoods project field staff (officers and assistants) and transfer key technical skills to staff under your supervision
  2. Adherence to NRC policies, guidance and procedures
  3. Contribute to the development of Country, Area and Cash and Livelihoods strategies, initiate and participate in the development of relevant cash and livelihoods projects.
  4. Provide input/analysis on livelihoods needs and gaps; contribute to proposal development
  5. Coordinate and implement agri-business Livelihoods project (activities, budget and project documentation) as delegated by Livelihoods and cash PM in line with proposals, strategies and donor requirements.
  6. Implement technical direction and ensure high technical quality of projects.
  7. Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need of protection, explore and assess new and better ways to assist.
  8. Manage project budget (in cooperation with Livelihoods Project Manager) and coordinate across other Core Competencies.
  9. Ensure capacity building of project staff and transfer key skills.
  10. Liaise and collaborate with relevant local authorities and other key stakeholders.
  11. Promote the rights of IDPs/returnees in line with the advocacy strategy.
  12. Provide regular progress reports to PM and Livelihoods Specialist
  13. Promote and share ideas for improvement and necessary changes in the activities.
