Context:

UN Women Multi-Country Office for the Caribbean co-hosted the Gender Equality Forum, one of the special events of the 4th International Small Island Developing States (SIDS) Conference. The Gender Equality Forum committed to vital advocacy for and implementation of key actions to ensure that gender equality is at the center of the SIDS agenda. To ensure that the objectives of and key messages from the Gender Equality Forum are not lost, and to accelerate progress towards a gender-transformative and inclusive future for all, the themes of the Gender Equality Forum are being explored through virtual Tours. Tours are being presented in a webinar format. The second Tour, Revitalizing SIDS Economies, will take place on Monday 26th August.

Live simultaneous Interpretation from English to Spanish and English to French (and vice versa), is required to maximize inclusivity of the delivery of this webinar.

UN Women MCO Caribbean is seeking one (1) online volunteer to support with simultaneous translation of a 2-hour virtual panel discussion entitled, ‘Revitalizing SIDS Economies’. The interpretation services required are English to Spanish / Spanish to English. The webinar will be moderated in English, with Spanish and English-speaking panelists. Spanish interpretation will be required to support both the panelists and audience members. The session is scheduled for Monday 26th August at 5.00 pm AST.

Experience in the provision of translation services is desirable. Ability for clear communication and language is necessary.
