Org. Setting and Reporting The position is located in the Executive Office of the Secretary-General (EOSG) at The International Seabed Authority in Kingston, Jamaica.

The International Seabed Authority is an international organization established under the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea and the 1994 Agreement relating to the Implementation of Part XI of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea. The Authority is the organization through which States Parties to the Convention shall, in accordance with the regime for the seabed and ocean floor and subsoil thereof beyond the limits of national jurisdiction (the Area) established in Part XI and the Agreement, organize and control activities in the Area, particularly with a view to administering the resources of the Area.(Link - > https://www.isa.org.jm/authority)

The post is located in the Office of Administrative Services and the incumbent reports to the Associate Security Officer while under the overall supervision of the Director of Administration

Responsibilities Responsibilities Within delegated authority, the incumbent will be responsible for the following duties:

-Transport the Secretary General, delegates, staff members and visitors of the Authority conducting official functions. -Provide transportation services for the Authority which includes delivery and collection of official documents or small goods and packages. -Coordinate and assist with the care and maintenance of official vehicles including the detailed recordkeeping in the vehicle logbook. -Monitor the asset, equipment and material inventory. Ensure the use of the materials in the most productive manner and maintain detailed recordkeeping. -Support and assist in the filling and maintenance of security and transport related files and documents. -Keep and maintain a log pertaining to the detail assignment and operation of the office vehicles daily. -Conduct visual examination of the ISA premises and assets and draft necessary reports and/or work orders for supervisor's review. -Ensure that the vehicle is properly maintained by reporting to the supervisor whenever the dates are due for servicing. -Support safety and security matters as identified by the supervisor in compliance with policies of the Authority and the United Nations Department of Safety & Security (UNDSS) -Liaise and/or accompany service personnel (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc) to job locations, provide clarifications and verify for completion and quality as required. -Draft requisition for purchase of equipment, materia, spares, etc., reviews and evaluates offers and coordinate with procurement unit. -Support official events/ceremonies in coordination with other units as assigned by supervisor. -Support and assist in office movements, relocation of offices and related equipment. -Perform other duties as requested by Senior ISA Officers in coordination with supervisor.

Education High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Work Experience At least three (3) years of work experience is required, including some experience with administrative processes and associated computer software (Microsoft Office ). Valid driver's permit, clean driver's record and demonstrated ability to drive and operate a motor vehicle in a safe manner.

Languages English and French are the working languages of the Authority. For the position advertised, fluency in English (both oral and written) is required.

Assessment Evaluation of qualified candidates may include an assessment exercise which may be followed by competency-based interview.
