Legal Affairs Consultant

Result of Service The consultant will contribute to the delivery of key outputs of the Investment Policy Branch, including the World Investment Report 2023.

Duties and Responsibilities Under the supervision of the Head of the Investment Policy Branch, DIAE, the consultant will perform research and provide drafting inputs on selected investment policy-related issues and contribute to the monitoring of investment policy trends in selected regions or thematic areas. In particular, the consultant will: (a) Contribute research and drafting on investment policies for the promotion of renewable energy and energy efficiency and assist in the preparation of the policy chapter (Chapter II) of World Investment Report 2023. (b) Monitor and collect newly adopted investment policy measures in North America and in English-speaking countries of the Caribbean; (c) Assist in the preparation of other outputs of the section, including investment policy monitors and other reports on investment policy trends;

Qualifications/special skills Advanced degree in Economics or Public Policy. 1 year working experience in research activities related to economic policies. Experience working in an international organization is desirable.

Languages Fluent in written and spoken English and French.
