You have:

  • University degree in Educational or Information Technology, Computer Science, or Data Science, or at least two years of experience in the digital learning industry.
  • Excellent command of spreadsheet and strong data literacy.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
  • Experience with digital learning authoring tools is an asset.
  • Good command of written and spoken English; Spanish and/or French is an asset.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

What we do

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) works worldwide to provide protection and humanitarian assistance to people affected by conflict and armed violence. We take action in response to emergencies and, at the same time, promote respect for international humanitarian law. We are an independent and neutral organization, and our mandate stems essentially from the Geneva Conventions of 1949. We work closely with National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and with their International Federation in order to ensure a concerted, rational and rapid humanitarian response to the needs of the victims of armed conflict or any other situation of internal violence. We direct and coordinate the international activities conducted in these situations.

Purpose

The purpose of this position is to support the delivery and improvement of digital learning solutions and training systems. The role primarily involves providing technical support for learning applications, assisting in the administration of online and blended learning sessions, and maintaining data quality for training records. Additional responsibilities include designing and developing digital learning resources, ensuring the quality of learning content, and conducting functional and user testing to enhance the overall learning experience.

Accountabilities & Functional responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance to end-users of the Digital Learning Platform, ensuring timely and efficient support.
  • Lead and supervise the resolution of platform bugs and data integration issues in both the system and e-learning modules, ensuring smooth functionality.
  • Deliver interactive online training sessions on ICRC digital learning platform processes and tools, empowering users and driving platform adoption.
  • Develop and enhance digital learning tools to upskill learning practitioners on ICRC digital learning platform processes, fostering continuous improvement.
  • Collect and analyze data to maintain the quality of platform data and enhance the efficiency of the Learning Solutions Unit's response system.
  • Perform functional testing and quality assurance of courses and content published on ICRC digital learning platforms to ensure a seamless user experience.
  • Oversee the maintenance and accuracy of the ICRC Training Catalogue, keeping it updated

Professional Experience required / Certifications / Education required
