Established in 2015, UNICEF’s Global Shared Services Centre (GSSC) provides services to UNICEF offices across the world in the areas of Finance, Master Data Management, Human Resources Administration, Payroll, and Customer Care (IT Global Help Desk).

How can you make a difference?

UNICEF is looking for an Intern to support the Learning & Development team at the Global Shared Services Centre. The Intern will have the opportunity to learn about UNICEF’s mission, its various programs, and how it operates globally, while being exposed to working in an international environment.

This may involve:

  • Provide admin support to the 360-degree assessment exercise this include but not limited to determining and communicating with participants, the coordination of activities and liaise with key stakeholder for implementation
  • Support in the development of communication, socialization, marketing, and advocacy material
  • Support in liaising with Venders to develop webinars for participants and for the raters
  • Coordinate the coaching debriefing and the collection of the group reports
  • Support the analysis of group reports and develop PPTs as needed
  • Support the rollout of the new cohort for mentorship programme including coordination of meetings, administrative work, invites, development of communication material, PPT etc.

As an advocate for every child, you will have…

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate or Ph.D. degree programme or have graduated within the past two years in social sciences, communication and media studies, and related fields with interest in HR and organizational development and change management
  • Fluency in English
  • Strong verbal, and written communication skills including interpersonal skills are required
  • Ability to work independently and in diverse teams is required
  • Experience in learning and development and organizational development programmes is a strong asset
  • Experience in developing communication materials, Photoshop, video production, infographic design etc is desirable
  • Experience in Web Design and SharePoint is an asset
  • Non - Hungarian citizens must be in possession of a student visa or be nationals of EU countries

Contract Duration and Terms

  • Internship is for 4-months duration (extendable)
  • Individuals must fund their travel and living expenses
  • Individuals must have proof of medical insurance covering their time at the duty station
  • Individuals are personally responsible for obtaining any required visa or residence permit, covering the entire period of their internship
  • Internships are paid with a stipend of approximately HUF 256,000 per month for full-time arrangements (40hrs/week), which will be prorated according to attendance. Work arrangements are based on the effective regulations of the duty station, organizational needs and schedules of the interns
  • Interns may take up to 2.5 days per month off work for any reason, including for medical reasons. The stipend will be reduced for any absence beyond this quota
