Established in 2015, UNICEF’s Global Shared Services Centre (GSSC) provides services to UNICEF offices across the world in the areas of Finance, Master Data Management, Human Resources Administration, Payroll, and Customer Care (IT Global Help Desk).

How can you make a difference?

UNICEF is looking for interns to support learning programmes, video produced materials, written communication - by providing their technical expertise and creativity. They will have the opportunity to collaborate with the GSSC curriculum developers and designers to recommend and add graphics, animation, visual creativity to e-learning projects. The internship will also provide exposure for the candidate to video productions and how these fit into UNICEF’s mission globally.

Interns will have the opportunity through working in the office to learn about UNICEF’s mission, its various programs, and how it operates globally, while being exposed to working in an international environment.

This may involve:

• Working in collaboration with e-learning experts to supplement e-learning content, develop media assets and support in the Agora learning management system
• Working with Zoom and the broadcast studio team to support delivery of Global Induction
• Interfacing with content Subject Matter Experts to identify need
• Additional Learning and Development projects may be assigned based on the intern’s areas of interest and expertise

As an advocate for every child, you will have…

• Current enrolment in a degree programme at the Bachelor or Masters level or recent graduate (up to 2 years) in Education, Instructional design, or other related fields
• Fluency in English is required
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Knowledge in e-learning authoring tools is an asset
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Strong commitment and drive for results demonstrated
• Eligible applicants must be nationals of EU countries or be eligible to work in Hungary
• The selected intern will be required to provide proof of enrolment in a health/accident plan prior to taking up the assignment.

Contract Duration and Terms

• This contract is for a 6-month duration, full-time, a minimum of 3 days in the office, 2 days remote per week
• Intern is expected to be in the office when needed for specific activities
• The anticipated start date of this internship is 15 February 2023.
• This internship is paid with a stipend of net HUF 1614 / hour
• Maximum 40 working hours per week are possible
• Individuals must fund their travel and living expenses
• Individuals must have proof of medical insurance covering their time at the duty station
• Individuals are personally responsible for obtaining any required visa or residence permit, covering the entire period of their internship
• Interns may take up to 2.5 days per month off work for any reason, including for medical reasons. The stipend will be reduced for any absence beyond this quota
