About the Program:
The Research, Data, and Impact team (RDI) fosters a culture of research excellence and ensures high quality research across WRI. The Research Integrity team (part of RDI) provides guidance and mentoring to staff and oversees the peer review process for research products, which include both traditional documents and interactive applications. We measure the success of publications in terms of the quality of research and its ability to drive change in the world in ways that support our mission.
This position is remote.
What you will do:
In this role you will help the RDI team create, implement, and improve learning courses for WRI staff across the WRI offices. This may include creating and refining course content and curriculum, designing a rollout plan for new courses, coordinating staff training opportunities, and researching programs and software for staff use. You will also help to evaluate and improve the courses. Course topics under development include research design, writing, literature review, research ethics and human subject protection.
You will also work on internal communications and stakeholder engagement, supporting RDI in disseminating its policies and guidance across the more than 1,800 staff and 5 continents where WRI works. We work with partners in more than 50 countries and currently have offices in 12 countries: Brazil, China, Colombia, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Mexico, the Netherlands, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The RDI team is currently working on several initiatives affecting staff across the WRI-matrix.

- You will collect feedback from worldwide staff to improve RDI’s communication and support offerings.
What you will need:

Compensation
The pay for this internship opportunity is $20 for undergrads and $22 for graduates.
Length of Contract:
This is a part-time (10 hours/week), 6-month internship with a flexible start and end date.
Location:
- This is a remote-based internship with the option to work out of the Washington D.C. office once it reopens.
- WRI will provide a laptop for the duration of your internship.
