Remote within the US - Leadership Development Analyst Intern

Summer 2024

World Vision Internships provide a three-month opportunity for exceptional students and recent graduates ready to explore a career in the international relief and development sector. We are committed to providing interns with a meaningful learning experience where they can learn, grow, and connect alongside other emerging professionals who are passionate about our mission.

BEFORE APPLYING, make sure you meet the following requirements:

  • Able to commit to at least 30 hours per week for the entire internship period: 20 May – 16 August.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must have a valid US Social Security Number.
  • Be physically located in one of the following states where WVI is registered as an employer: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia (Washington D.C.), Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington.
  • Current student or recent graduate from an undergraduate or graduate programme (within 2 years).
  • Adhere to World Vision International’s Christian Statement of Faith.
  • Willingness to use own electronic devices for internship purposes, and disposition to let WVI install endpoint security software on those devices.

DETAILS

  • Stipend: All US-based interns are paid a monthly stipend of $800
  • Hours: Full-time and part-time opportunities are available (24-40 hours/week)
  • Internship Location: Remote within the US (see eligible states above).
  • Appropriate Fields of Study/Majors: Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, Education, Training, Human Resources, or related fields.

INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION

Visionfund (VF) is the microfinance arm of World Vision. It provides credit, insurance, and savings services to underserved communities around the world where World Vision works.

The People and Culture (P&C) Department at VisionFund International seeks to be a strategic partner to the organization on the management and development of its staff and equip and support its leaders with the necessary skills and strategies to work with the talent in their teams to fulfill our ambitious social development goals. The P&C department works with 4 Centers of Expertise encompassing Leadership Development, Total Rewards, Employee Relations, and Faith & Development and a team of 6 Regional Business Partners across the globe to support the implementation of our strategies and processes.

The opportunity

As a Leadership Development Analyst intern, you will have the opportunity to:

The intern’s responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the development of the Management and Leadership training program.
  • Partnering with Business Partners and Regional Directors to monitor the implementation of the different training programs in different regions across the globe.
  • Supporting the rollout of learning content in our Learning Management System´s platforms as Workday Learning and our E-Campus.
  • Monitoring, reporting, and analyzing trends, gaps, and best practices of the implementation of the different training programs that are part of our training plan for the network of institutions.

Essential qualities for this role:

  • You are interested in global operations
  • You have experience with written and oral communication skills with the ability to convey complex information appropriately to audiences from different cultural backgrounds.
  • You have experience working with databases and data mining.
  • You are eager to help customers with the best service possible.
  • You manage your time effectively to complete work on time, prioritize your projects, and communicate your progress.
  • You are passionate about using your God-given talents to positively impact the world.

Preferred

  • Fluency in Spanish or French
  • Good command or understanding of reporting tools such as Power BI.
