The annual salary range for this role is $130,000-150,000 in New York. The annual salary range for this role is $135-155,000 in San Francisco.

The Lead, Private Markets Initiatives will be responsible for leading Centre-specific content focused on developing and deepening cooperation and positive impact on topics of systemic importance. Potential areas of focus include evolution of private markets, including the rise in private debt; stewardship and governance opportunities and implications; resilient financial systems in the new investment order; among others.

Reporting Lines & Interactions

The Lead, Private Markets Initiatives will report to Head, Financial Markets and Resilience Initiatives. Internally, the person will work with colleagues in our Account Management and Business Development teams, the internal FMS Centre team, Global Industry Team, and a broad range of other stakeholders. Externally, this person will interact and collaborate with constituents ranging from Forum Partner and non-Partner companies, governments, academia, and civil society.

Main Responsibilities:

A successful candidate will play a key role in scoping, launching and managing the initiatives and facilitating engagement among Forum constituents – both business and non-business.

Project Management

  • Scoping, designing and developing initiative with support from manager and input from partner account managers and Heads of Industry on key interests to partnership base
  • Project organization, including ensuring deliverables are on track across multiple workstreams, coordinating with internal colleagues and external consultants (if applicable)
  • Ensure a rigorous project management governance and approach that reinforces high impact delivery and partner engagement. Report and monitor project progress, impact and evaluation.

Stakeholder Engagement and Business Development

  • Engage a diverse set of external senior stakeholders on strategic deliverables and convenings, frameworks and policies
  • Ensure opportunities to leverage Forum networks, events, and public engagement opportunities for project outcomes are fully utilized
  • Contribute to identification and growth of the community of potential and existing Forum partners, with particular focus on commercializing the Centre's content and grant funded opportunities

Preferred Requirements and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Business, Economics, or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of professional work experience working with public and private sectors in areas such as banking, capital markets, investment management, investor relations, asset management, portfolio operations, strategy consulting, economic analysis
  • Professional experience and existing relationships with public and private stakeholders in developed and emerging economies
  • Outstanding track record in account management and/or business development at C-suite level
  • Excellent strategic acumen combined with the ability to operationalize effectively
  • Ability to build strong internal relationships and networks within a complex, collaborative and ambiguous environment; can work well globally across cultures
  • Energetic, self-directed, customer-oriented team player with a mission-oriented mindset
  • Fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills; additional foreign languages a plus
  • Willingness to travel 25% of the time

Vaccination requirement
