Help design and layout the Biodiversity-Friendly Enterprises Toolkit for UNDP.

You have:

  • 2-3 years of experience in lay-outing and designing technical reference materials such as manuals and toolkits.
  • Familiarity with UNDP and DENR branding guidelines will be an advantage.
  • Ability to provide a sample material upon request.

The online volunteer will help the Climate Action Programme Team by lay-outing and designing the Biodiversity-Friendly Enterprises (BDFE) Toolkit that was developed under the SMARTSeas PH Project. S/he will closely work with the Climate Action Programme of UNDP and the Biodiversity Management Bureau of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) for approval of lay-out and ensure the design is in accordance with the branding guidelines of both institutions. The online volunteer's outputs will be 2 drafts of BDFE Toolkit lay-out and design, and 1 finalized BDFE Toolkit with material specifications. The final deliverable will be published at DENR-BMB's website.

    The SMARTSeas PH is a marine conservation project being implemented by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), supported by the UNDP and funded by the Global Environment Facility. It aims to help arrest the environment degradation through establishment and improvement of management effectiveness of marine protected areas (MPA) and MPA networks in the Philippines. It is implemented in five project sites with designated local responsible partners. The task of the online volunteer will contribute to the project's second outcome which is focused on improving financial sustainability of management of MPA and MPAN. Specifically, the BDFE Toolkit aims to equip key biodiversity actors the necessary tools and emerging standards to support people's organizations’ pursuit of sustainable livelihoods particularly by becoming BDFE that is compatible with program management and policies in protected areas.

    Candidates must have 2-3 years of experience in lay-outing and designing technical reference materials such as manuals and toolkits. A sample material will be requested. Familiarity with UNDP and DENR branding guidelines will be an advantage.
