Overview

Provide support for e-academy and online courses for Botswana entrepreneurs and policymakers.

You have:

  • Advanced University degree (masters) in economics, business administration, international relations or related field required.
  • A minimum of 4 months working experience in e-commerce or marketing required.
  • Fluent in English (oral and written) and the Botswana language, Setswana required.
  • Demonstrated ability and capacity for socio-economic research and analysis required.
  • Experience working in excel sheets desirable.

Result of Service

The services of the individual contractor will provide support for an e-academy and online courses, and capacity building of Botswana entrepreneurs and policymakers on e-commerce.

Duties and Responsibilities

The individual contractor will contribute to the development and implementation of a comprehensive e-commerce training for the Government of Botswana through the following sets of tasks: 1. Provide support in the development of an e-academy, online courses and training modules. This includes providing support in the uploading of course content and materials on an e-platform. The individual contractor may also be asked to prepare and disseminate certificates of course completion for trainees. 2. Provide support in the launch and dissemination of the e-academy and online courses and the organizing of a launch event and related activities in June/July 2024. This includes contacting entrepreneurs and informing them of the e-commerce courses and launch event, ensuring smooth registration and supporting the preparation and delivery of the online courses at the launch event. 3. Provide research and note taking support, where needed. 4. Provide support for a virtual community/network of Botswana entrepreneurs which has been created 5. Provide support for follow up activities of the Advisory Board to the virtual community of entrepreneurs

Qualifications/special skills

Advanced University degree (masters) in economics, business administration, international relations or related field and advanced economic, business or related degree is required. A minimum of 4 months working experience in e-commerce or marketing is required. Experience working in excel sheets is desirable. Demonstrated ability and capacity for socio-economic research and analysis, including data analysis.

Languages

Fluent in English (oral and written) and the Botswana language, Setswana.
