Bosnia and Herzegovina is a country with great human capital and beautiful natural resources (mountains, rivers, etc), located where Eastern and Western Europe meet. The country has a complex history and therefore a very rich heritage.

The country has a free, public healthcare system. In addition, there are some private medical facilities in Bosnia-Herzegovina, mainly located in Sarajevo and other large cities. Prescription medicines are readily available in pharmacies.

Bosnia-Herzegovina also has an established public transportation network. However, whilst public transportation will be readily available in Sarajevo and other large urban areas, it may not be in rural regions.

Sarajevo has a good quality of life, and is cost-effective compared to many European capitals. There is an active night life and many cafes, bars, restaurants, etc.

The UN designated state of alert for Bosnia and Herzegovina (including Sarajevo) is Security Level 1 which is minimal and lowest security risk in the Security Level System.
