Brazzaville is a relatively stable city accessible by air or boat. While it may be slight more expensive than many other cities in the subregion, Brazzaville enjoys relative security and many options for affordable housing.

WHO AFRO with its Regional Office based in Congo Brazzaville is a unique setting. It provides for an interesting and enriching environment, but also requires a mature level of cultural awareness, as well as more stamina and commitment than elsewhere to make life comfortable and affordable. Therefore, flexibility and the ability and willingness to live and work in harsh and potentially hazardous conditions, involving physical hardship and little comfort, are essential.
