BACKGROUND

The Business Development and Digital Transformation unit (MSDD) of the Management Services Division coordinates the divisional digital strategy and manages many digital platforms and services, among which passenger mobility and carpooling, accommodation, aviation and medical services under the UN Booking Hub Global Shared Service Centre.

MSDD also develops and operates the Fleet Centre platform which has digitally transformed and streamlined the leasing of light vehicles from global WFP operations, the UNFLEET platform, which extend the leasing offer to UN Agencies, the Global Fleet solution which allows leasing and spare parts ordering of heavy vehicles needed to deliver last-mile aid, and many more.

PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT

The Junior Digital Manager will be reporting to MSDD Digital Manager. She\he will be helping MSDD unit in the following duties on the digital transformation:

    • Understand end users and operational processes in order to support the digital transformation;
    • Liaise with relevant stakeholders to gather requirements for new functionalities and presenting related solutions;
    • Maintenance of solution roadmap and relevant documentation;
    • Include in plans cross-integration with other WFP digital solutions, in particular fleet management systems, ERPs and other corporate solutions;
    • Recurringly review processed and functionalities to enhance solution efficiency;
    • Development support:
    • Coordinate daily the pool of resources by organizing the workplan and oversighting its execution;
    • Maintain the product backlog;
    • Pre-release tests and quality assurance on UI, UX and functionalities;
    • Communication and change management support to maximise user adoption including newsletters, manuals and webinars;
    • Ensure respect of deadline and plan test sessions with stakeholders.
    • Content Management
    • Maintain websites content, liaise with business owners for missing info and consistency check;
    • Maintain the Customer Focal Points’ list up to date and process the online access requests;
    • Customization of provided material according to product and UN/WFP branding guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Education:

  • University degree in Digital, Marketing and Communication, Social studies or another relevant field.

    Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with product/project management.

    • Experience in gathering business and user requirements.
    • Experience with website or mobile app release is a plus.
    • Previous experience in working within the UN system digital transformation is a plus.

    Knowledge & Skills:

  • Knowledge of Product and Project Management methodologies and tools.

    • Knowledge of Agile methodology is considered a plus.
    • Knowledge of UX\UI principles is considered a plus.

    Languages:

  • Proficiency in English - written, spoken, and oral comprehension.
