Overview

Develop a campaign for the CERF 20th Anniversary.

You have:

  • Advanced university degree (master's degree or equivalent) in social studies, political science, international relations, communications, journalism, marketing or another related field.
  • A first-level university degree in combination with two (2) additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
  • At least 2 years of progressively responsible experience in public administration, social media, international relations, marketing, campaigns or related field is required.
  • A proven track record in developing communications plans and communications content focusing on humanitarian crises response is required.
  • Experience using graphics software such as Adobe Suite products (Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator), Canva etc is desirable.
  • Familiarity with the UN Secretariat and its corporate communication activities and structures is desirable.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • French is also a working language of the United Nations, knowledge is an asset.

Result of Service

Develop a clearly articulated and defined campaign for the CERF 20th Anniversary Campaign, outlining opportunities for awareness raising and resource mobilization, while promoting the value of CERF in spearheading innovations throughout its existence, including the CERF Climate Action Account (CCAA) and Anticipatory Action.

Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic communications coordination and planning: • Under the overall supervision of the project management lead, coordinate the research and analysis of successful anniversary campaigns of other comparable funds in the public and private sector to inform the planning of the CERF 20 Anniversary campaign. • Support the development of a dedicated communications and advocacy campaign implementation and content plan for the CERF 20 Anniversary campaign. • Provide technical support to the daily coordination of communications and advocacy activities with SCB, DRS and ERPS in support of the CERF 20 Anniversary campaign. Social media management and content creation: • Support the development of a content plan for social media to highlight the CERF 20 Anniversary campaign. • Support the development of a weekly social media content plan for OCHA corporate platforms and OCHA's senior leadership accounts, highlighting CERF's (as well as OCHA-managed Pooled Funds) achievements in an engaging and creative way.
