**OVERVIEW** ------------ Parent Sector : \[\[Culture\]\] Duty Station: \[\[Dhaka\]\] Standard Duration of Assignement : \[\[4-6 months with the possibility of renewal based on performance\]\] Type of contract : \[\[Junior Consultant (Culture)\]\] Duration of contract : \[\[March-June 2024, with the possibility of renewal based on performance\]\] Recruitment open to : \[\[Internal and External candidates\]\] Application Deadline (Midnight Paris Time) : \[\[24 February 2024\]\] UNESCO Core Values: Commitment to the Organization, Integrity, Respect for Diversity, Professionalism **OVERVIEW OF THE FUNCTIONS OF THE POST** ----------------------------------------- Under the direct supervision of the Culture Unit and overall supervision of the Head of Office, the Individual Consultant will perform the following activities from March to June 2024. - Assist the Culture Unit in the planning and implementation of project activities including the organization of workshops and meetings, liaison with partners and stakeholders, and relevant follow-up especially for activities related to the 1972, 2003, and 2005 UNESCO Culture Convention - Contribute to the process of raising awareness of, and advocating for UNESCO’s culture mandate, including preparing speeches, letters or PPTs, stories, and contents for the culture website and social media Long Description ---------------- - Support in developing monthly cash forecast, payment to vendors, project budget plan and vendor creation and management, mission-related documents - Lead the CLT publication management and distribution - Represent the CLT unit in the Record management team and take responsibility as needed Long Description ---------------- - Actively engage in the planning and activities of the Green Team - Contribute to the strengthening of cooperation with partners including UN, development partners, private sector, NGOs, and assist with resource mobilization including the development of project proposals including relevant content for brochure/social media and website updates - Other duties as requested Undertake any other activities and duties assigned by the Culture Unit and the Head of Office.
