Junior Consultant

Result of Service September 2023 – final implementation plan by the High Level Facilitator, based on the work of the Task Team, and consulted with the Advisory Group.

Expected duration 3.5 months

Duties and Responsibilities 1. Supports the work of the secretariat and High-Level Facilitator in regards to the work of the Task team; monitors and analyzes specific aspects of programme/project development and implementation; reviews relevant documents and reports and liaises with relevant parties; identifies and tracks follow-up actions; drafts donor reports.

2. Under the supervision of the Secretariat head, supports the task team in their daily coordination activities, as well as supports the High-Level Facilitator in her functions by coordination specific internal and external consultations, ensuring fact-finding and keeping track of implementation, sequencing, resourcing and actioning of each recommendation of the Independent Review.

3. Contributes to the preparation of various written outputs, e.g. draft background papers, meeting notes, analytical notes and reports.

4. Contributes and support all relevant work related to the implementation plan based on the work of the Task team and High-Level Facilitator.

Qualifications/special skills A first-level university degree in political science, development, law, economics or a related field. No less than two (2) and no more than 5 years of progressively responsible experience in project work, public administration, or international relations is required. Knowledge and understanding of the UN system is desired. Proven gender equality expertise and knowledge is desired.
