The Program Integration and Development Analyses role in the Indonesia CO aims at providing analyses, conduct various assessment, and idea to integrate initiatives and or project into an integrated portfolio of offers, piloting of new tools and ideas, strategic analyses – documentation and advocacy and resource mobilization. Based on that mandate, Program Integration and Development Analyses Team work on various initiatives including Social Innovation Platform, Water-Energy-Food Security Nexus, Digital and Governance Portfolio Development, and Digital Transformation. This team will work closely with Ministry of Village, Ministry of National Development Planning (BAPPENAS), and Ministry of Communications and Informatics.

This UNV assignment is part of Program Integration and Development Analyses Team, UNDP Indonesia. The Junior Analyst will support Senior Advisor for Program Integration and Development Analysis to conduct research, analysis, knowledge generation, facilitating events, liaising coordination with partners, and admin as well as finance functionality for the team.

Under the direct supervision of Senior Advisor of Program Integration and Development Analyses or his/her designated mandated representative(s), the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:

1. Support on research, analysis, and knowledge generation for the Team’s initiatives • Assist with research and analysis to draft and develop concept note • Support in data collection in various forms of data • Support in portfolio development, in collaboration with other teams in UNDP Indonesia • Support in monitoring and evaluation indicators of portfolio • Facilitate and support knowledge generation and knowledge sharing, as well as events on portfolio • Liaising and facilitating communication and as well as coordination with different partners

2. Support on admin and finance for the team • Support Senior Advisor on the admin-finance related work in the Program Integration and Development Analyses Team • Any other related tasks as may be required or assigned by the supervisor

• Have relevant professional experience of working on development initiatives and pro-ject/programme management with focus on sustainable development • Experience working with UNDP Indonesia is strongly desired • Research experience in the field of sustainable development
• Experience in managing close coordination and communication with various stake-holders, including public sector, private sector, NGO, and others • Experience in managing high-level events • Excellent communication skills written and spoken command of the English and Indo-nesian language, including the ability to talk with ease and to draft clear, concise, high-quality documents both in English and Indonesian language. • Strong capacity to develop strategic approaches to achieve.

The position will be based in the capital city, Jakarta, where basic living needs, including accommodation, banking facilities, medical facilities and telecommunications/internet services are readily available. All staple foods can be found in the markets. Many imported goods are available in Jakarta and other places throughout Indonesia. In Jakarta the most used means of transportation are taxi or local bus. Mobile phone is the most dependable tool to be in-touch with colleagues and friends.

As this is a national UN Volunteer assignment, the UN Volunteer will be responsible for arranging his/her own housing and other living essentials.
