JOB PURPOSE

To lead and contribute to the development and management of efficient and effective IT solutions, creating sound, innovative solutions i.e., android application that enable staff to deliver food/cash assistance to beneficiaries, in line with BISP Nashonuma programme protocols. The professional will be on secondment to BISP and work with BISP Information Systems cell to lead the IT solutions component of the BNP project.

Reporting Structure: The position is based in the WFP - Project Management Unit at BISP Headquarter, Islamabad, jointly reporting to the WFP Head of Nutrition and Manager PMU.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

1. Supervise and steer IT Solutions team on front-end and back-end app/software development and management. 2. Lead the development of a new app of BNP to be used by BNP staff in more than 500 facilitation centres across the country, regularly adding and integrating additional features, as per programme needs. 3. Data management generated from the app, providing regular trend analysis and reporting of performance indicators. 4. Guide and strengthen capacity of partner staff and WFP focal points on the application and to respond to day-to-day queries. 5. Lead Knowledge Management for BNP, including systematic sharing of lessons learned. 6. Lead the development of a BNP Dashboard (including data visualization) that includes supply chain, and programme implementation information

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES

Education: Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Development or relevant field.

Experience: 3 years of Professional / Managerial experience in Information Management and System Development preferably with an International Organization, Government, or UN system. Candidate having experience in the development of Information System related to Nutrition or Health will be preferred.

Knowledge & Skills:

Asp.Net, Oracle, MS SQL, Android Development & Power BI, Tableau, Google Data Studio, Github or like version control system.

Knowledge of Nutrition programmes / CMAM and Stunting preventions can be an advantage.

Languages: Fluency in English and Urdu language

The BNP is implemented through the WFP offices and also through a Progamme Management Unit (PMU) which is based in the BISP offices.
