JOB PURPOSE

To contribute to the development of efficient and effective IT solutions, creating sound, innovative solutions that enable staff to deliver food/cash assistance to beneficiaries, in line with BISP Nashonuma Programme protocols.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

1. Support in development of integrated robust Information system to visualize, analyze and export predefined reports - (System Development) 2. Support the development of dotNet based backend. 3. Ensuring software development is according to the at-least one of the quality architectures (ISO/IEC 25010, CMAM-Level 3, SPICE) 4. Prepare clear technical systems documentation for developed IT solutions in order to facilitate IT systems development and maintenance - (Quality Assurance). 5. Perform unit and integrated testing of new, enhanced, or fixed code to ensure complete coverage of code and adherence to technical specifications - (Quality Assurance). 6. Contribute to the analysis, maintenance and upgrade of IT systems and troubleshoot, fix problems, and make recommendations for system improvements - (Quality Assurance). 7. Participate in the installation, configuration, and customization of IT systems, as well as integration and migration of data between systems to ensure compliance with IT standards, guidelines and procedures - (System Management and Costing). 8. Collate data and contribute to the preparation of accurate reports on IT investments and costs, providing information to inform decision-making by stakeholders - (System Management and Costing).

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES

Education: Bachelors of Engineering in IT, Computer Science, Software Development or Masters degree in IT/Software Development or Information Management.

Experience: 6 years of experience in Information Management and System Development preferably with International Organization, Government or UN system. Any Information System developed for Nutrition or Health will be preferred

Language: General Service: Fluency in both oral and written communication in the UN language in use at the duty station and the duty station’s language, if different.

Knowledge & Skills:

Knowledge of Nutrition programmes/CMAM and Stunting preventions. Asp.Net, Oracle, MS SQL, Android Development & Power BI, Tableau, Google Data Studio, Github or like version control system.

The professional will be on secondment to BISP and work with BISP Information Systems cell to perform the assigned tasks and report to the PMU lead operationally and technically to the NOA-PMU.
