IT Services Specialist

The Forum is building world-leading digital collaboration platforms, knowledge and data tools for our constituents and in order to achieve this, we need top tier IT teams and systems serving our internal staff and teams. To support the expansion in our Beijing office, we are looking for a smart and energetic IT Services Specialist.

A member of the Technology department, the IT Services Specialist will work under the supervision of the Head of IT Services and be part of a globally dispersed and multidisciplinary team. Locally, the IT Services Specialist reports to China Office Manager.

You should have strong communications skills and be comfortable translating business requirements into projects and deliverables. You will also be comfortable working with multidisciplinary teams across geographies and have a proven track record of delivering global projects on time and within budget.

Breakdown of main responsibilities

  • 40% IT Service Delivery
  • 30% Technical lead
  • 30% Project Management

The successful candidate will be assessed on

  • Manage external IT support consultant and local hardware contracts
  • Take charge, qualify and process incoming IT requests from our Beijing staff
  • Ensure the entry, follow-up and closure of tickets on our ticketing tool
  • Escalate unresolved tickets to our Operations team and our partners
  • Responsible for the daily management of office electronic equipment, including but not limited to procurement, equipment distribution and its return from staff; coordinate and support external service provider with repair and maintenance of conference system and equipment
  • System administration (account creation, user rights management, etc.)
  • Update technical documentation
  • Participate in technical interventions in the offices
  • Participate in providing IT training for newcomers

Preferred Requirements and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other technical degree or strong self-taught programming skills.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in IT service delivery
  • Experience or knowledge of the following technologies, Microsoft systems, AWS
  • Technical documentation writing skills
  • Well organized and ability to multi-task effectively
  • Excellent customer service skills and communication skills
  • Strong multistakeholder management experience Good Fluency of English and Mandarin in speaking, reading and writing
