Who are we?

The Danish Refugee Council is working in hotspots in 40 countries. Over the past years we have had a tremendous growth internationally. Successful ideation, development and benefit realisation from new and existing solutions are key objectives in DRC to ensure we continue to provide efficient security and protection to the people we serve. We balance this with our delivery of seamless collaboration platforms for our colleagues in need of flexibility to perform their tasks and collaborate globally irrespective time and place and a robust and expanding ERP platform in Microsoft Dynamics.

About the job

The primary focus is global oversight of the project, programme and application portfolio. To get us there you will drive implementation and coordination of global IT, digital governance and project methodology. You will:

  • Engage as IT business partner and assist the organisation in scoping and managing IT project plans, risks, budgets, and benefits.
  • Develop and follow up on operational metrics and KPI Report on portfolio progress and risks to executive management.
  • Drive internationalisation of the IT organisation. Ensuring that global IT management structures are well defined, mandated, collaborative, functional & efficient, and driving strategic execution.

About you

To be successful in this role we expect you to have at least 5 years documented project manager experience, know how to leverage key IT methodologies (SAFe®, PMI, Prince2, ITIL, Cobit) and demonstrate the ability to turn challenge into opportunity – with colleagues within and outside the IT organisation. You have in depth knowledge of technologies driving the digital transformation and guide colleagues and stakeholders toward successful application of them. You navigate seamlessly between key IT functional area bringing enough knowledge on Information Security, IT Project Management, Application Management, Enterprise Architecture, IT Service and Operations, and IT Strategy development to liaise and engage across these critical IT contributions with ease.

Required

  • Hold an academic master’s degree
  • Have strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Execute against set plans and drive focus on goals and outcomes
  • Be persistent, resilient and structured
  • Show strong and inclusive interpersonal skills
  • Have strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of key IT methodologies (SAFe®, ITIL, PMI)
  • NGO-experience
  • Experience working in global and cross functional teams
  • Knowledge of French and Danish is desirable.

Contract length: Permanent

Workplace: Borgergade 10, Copenhagen, Denmark

Start date: When the right candidate is identified

Salary and conditions will be in accordance with agreement between the Danish Confederation of Professional Associates (AC-organisationerne) and the Danish Refugee Council. This is contractually a national position for which local Danish terms and conditions apply.
