UNAIDS, the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV and AIDS, is a global leader in the fight against HIV/AIDS. The Digital Technology Solutions (DTS) team is committed to ensuring that IT governance is robust, up-to-date, and reflective of best practices. As part of this commitment, DTS is undertaking a comprehensive restructuring and updating of IT policies, procedures, and standards.

We are inviting an online volunteer to support the IT governance activities at UNAIDS. The volunteer will assist in creating and managing the structure and framework for IT policy documents, rewriting and reformatting these documents, and setting up the document repository in Teams, SharePoint, or OneDrive.

The volunteer will learn to update the relevant SharePoint sites with the documents, create links to the knowledge base (ServiceNow), for a defined 12-week, 20 hours-per-week assignment related to the cleanup and organization of IT governance materials.

Competencies: • Strong understanding of IT governance, policies, and best practices. • Ability to manage complex documentation and provide clear, concise, and well-formatted materials. • Proficient IT skills, including familiarity with Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive. Project/Task Management: • Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to work independently and manage multiple tasks. • Proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to prioritize effectively. Qualifications: • Degree in information technology, business administration, or a related field. Experience: • A minimum of two years of experience in IT governance, policy development, or a related field. • Familiarity with online tools, document management and formatting. • Prior experience with the UN system or similar international organizations is preferred.
